The RS2000 was the real innovation of the AVO plant in 1973 - when it launch the RS2000. A car that would appeal to the more discerning individual. Complete with cloth interior and a nice full size Centre Console - this was the up market image that Ford needed to maintain sales after the successful launches of the Mexico, Twin Cam and excellent RS1600

When the RS2000 was launched with a basic tag of £1,100.00 and therefore in today's standards represents excellent value for money

This valuation is only a guide and is based on market prices - please refer to the condition of the vehicle, A1 being the best with limited work to make Concours, and an A5 vehicle requiring extensive restoration

Restoration costs for these vehicles can be excessive, as many of the correct AVO parts are now becoming increasingly hard to find and thus hold high premiums for original parts. Therefore ensure that when you are looking at such a vehicle you try to assess your estimate of restoration costs - I've added what I consider to be a true reflection of market prices from heavy to light restoration costs and also include the difficult to find part prices.

  £15500 £12250 £10500 £8750 £2000+

Concours cars, such as the pictures above can change hands for anything over £25000 - when viewing such examples, ensure there is a recent portfolio of restoration pictures and also a good selection of trophy's and rosettes that demonstrate the vehicles potential against it's Concours competition
