I actually swapped this for one of my early cars, in exchange for a very nice RS2000, that I must admit, I wish I still owned. This particular RS,

had the Webesto sunroof fitted, so it needed a roof swap.

When it first arrived, I thought it was not too bad, until I had the shell, blasted and red oxide, to stop it corroding further.

When you have panels, shot blasted, take care and ensure that whoever does the job keeps away from thin panels, such as the rear wings and bonnets,

The heat will distort any such panel and you'll be looking for new ones. Red oxide is an excellent sealer once the shell has been returned from the blasters. Once the panels are fitted, it was put into a decent primer

Fitting it up! best bit of the restoration, as long as you have been collecting all those nice new bits to fit back on

New decals, dressed engine bay, highly polished rims and a new interior finished it off nicely.
