The RS1600 was and still remains the most sought after AVO vehicle, with is BDA engine, this vehicle rapidly became a race winner and still remains at the top of it's class on historic rally's and race tracks alike

This valuation is only a guide and is based on market prices - please refer to the condition of the vehicle, A1 being the best with limited work to make Concours, and an A5 vehicle requiring extensive restoration

  £12500 £14500 £18000 £22000 £28000+

Restoration costs for these vehicles can be excessive, as many of the parts used for the RS1600 are extremely rare, such as an original engine that can cost thousands to rebuild or replace. Therefore ensure that when you are looking at such a vehicle you try to assess your estimate of restoration costs - I've added what I consider to be a true reflection of market prices from heavy to light restoration costs and also include the difficult to find part prices.

Condition A5 A4 A3 A2 A1
  £25000+ £20500 £15000 £7500 £2000+

Concours cars, such as the pictures above can change hands for anything over £35000 - when viewing such examples, ensure there is a recent portfolio of restoration pictures and also a good selection of trophy's and rosettes that demonstrate the vehicles potential against its Concours competition
