The Mexico was undisputedly the rise of the AVO facility in the 70's when Ford launched the long awaited Ford Escort Mexico into the dealers in 1971 - with very basic vinyl seats and rubber floor mats, this little Ford fast became renowned for being a no frills drivers car.

When the Mexico Cam was launched with a price tag of just over £800.00 who would have thought that today, some 35 years + later, this little variation of Ford Motor Company's history would be the desire of most 40 something adults.

This valuation is only a guide and is based on market prices - please refer to the condition of the vehicle, A1 being the best with limited work to make Concours, and an A5 vehicle requiring extensive restoration

Restoration costs for these vehicles can be excessive, as with the RS2000 many of the parts are becoming increasingly hard to source and hold very high premiums. Therefore ensure that when you are looking at such a vehicle you try to assess your estimate of restoration costs - I've added what I consider to be a true reflection of market prices from heavy to light restoration costs and also include the difficult to find part prices.

Concours cars, such as the pictures above can change hands for anything over £10000 - when viewing such examples, ensure there is a recent portfolio of restoration pictures and also a good selection of trophy's and rosettes that demonstrate the vehicles potential against it's Concours competition
